Gijs van Lennep on Porsche 917

During the Monterey Historic Automobile Races at Laguna Seca in California Van Lennep drove a Porsche 917 from 1969. Porsche was this year's "Featured Marque" the focus of historic racing event and reported enthusiastically: "It was great to get back to that car to drive." Ven Lennep was fastest in the qualifying pole position and led the race even one time in the lead, other famous riders of yesteryear like Derek Bell and Brian Redman.

Porsche museum open on January 31

One hundred years Audi

Audi is celebrating one hundred years, exactly on July 16 was one hundred years ago that August Horch in the German city of Zwickau, the company now called Audi founded. Now Audi's history is always a warm heart towards and even has a history department Audi Tradition. That section has for the centenary a number of activities scheduled. The first is the exhibition "Treffen der Generationen - Walking Effizienz im der Zeit", from January 26 to February 28 at the Audi museum mobile at the Audi Forum Ingolstadt is shown. There are twelve special vehicles displaying eight decades, mostly prototypes and unique models which seeks to meet the challenges of the time to meet.
