What is the point of people buying a car? That is emotional and involves the appearance, power, torque? Or is it not important at all and runs are indeed such things as comfort, price / performance, seats, interior space, fuel consumption, tax and depreciation? A cursory glance at the Dutch network says it? For most people it is not an emotional choice. Often there is still a household are involved: for example, the personal considerations and are best placed to assess. Apart from issues such as tax and depreciation. And on that last one has an interesting examination of ocassionsite Vroemm.nl shed light: namely, there are rather large differences in depreciation on cars.

Differences between models can be as high as thirty percent at a sale after three years. Even within particular classes, there are important differences. Thus Vroemm says: "Consumers may become a huge cost savings realized his car. In general, smaller petrol-driven cars and the most value for the larger diesel models driving the least. "

Differences in vehicles
That the top 10 most stable value vehicles largely consists of small cars does not mean that all small cars are solid value. For example, after a Citroen C2 car ownership is equal on average only 61% of its original price and a Nissan Micra worth even just 57%. Within the biggest selling medium-sized cars are also substantial differences. For example, a Volkswagen Golf on average 59% of its value after three years, while a Renault Megane same mileage and year after only an average value of 49% stake. In a new value of 25,000 euros, this means after three years still a considerable savings of about 2,500 euros.

The survey shows that in the current market a diesel average a 5% to 9% higher depreciation than the petrol variant has the same model. That diesel is less inflation-proof, it applies to almost all models examined.

Depreciation and car expenses
Depreciation or amortization is one of the largest expenses of a car owner. A potential car buyer assumes this is often limited in the choice of a new car. One important reason is that until recently good and reliable data on costs are difficult or require fee to obtain. The website has changed this situation. Apart from the depreciation charge you Vroemm.nl for each car, the total projected monthly costs. This is in addition to depreciation also included: repair, maintenance and tires, road tax, insurance and financing.
